handle with care...

another image from the Bishop Arts District polawalk. over exposed this one a little bit, but it makes the image really stand out...

Sadi in the studio...

Got the chance to take a couple of pictures of Sadi today. She had Tyler take some outdoor shots, so I set up a little bit of studio equipment to take a couple of Polaroid 664 shots with my modified 250 camera when she got home. What a beautiful girl! There is no other picture like an expired Polaroid...

massage...

Saw this sign on our way home from eating after church.  Up for a massage?  You make the call...

maci on super-expired film...

This is a studio shot from some super-expired Polaroid 664 film. Had to increase the contrast and adjust the levels to get the image to come to life.  Amazing how sharp the image actually is...

in the studio...

Spent a little time in the studio (ok, it was really just my garage) tonight working on lighting. Took several images on expired Polaroid 664 that seemed quite a bit washed out and I just couldn't get the exposure right. Then I put in some Fuji FP-100C and everything changed. I go for months without shooting this stuff because it seems so boring, but occasionally I get great stuff and I want to shoot it more...

fading...

even though it is expired, this film has been solid with it vibrant colors.  this one was shot directly at the setting sun with my modified 250 land camera that has the rodenstock 127mm lens attached.  the sun flare gave it an extreme red cast and it looks somewhat faded. hope it wasn't light leaking through...

roid week 2012 - my images...

Well roid week 2012 has come and gone. This is the first year that I have participated in the flickr event.  What a great time taking new pictures to post and viewing pictures from around the world.  There are so many talented photographers that use instant film as a method of documenting the things around them.  This alone is inspiring for me.  I absolutely enjoy taking photos and especially instant photos.  Come to think of it, instant photography is has become a hobby within a hobby.

Look forward to many more years of roid week and most of all knowing that some day I can share the original photos with my children, grandchildren and maybe even great-grandchildren...

on their way out...

Sadi, Jace and Brad tonight in our neighborhood before Sadi and Jace left to go eat Chinese food. Always a good night when I get to take a picture...

sadi and maci..

Not perfect pictures, but great memories of my beautiful girls. Two of my most favorite people to photograph!

maci...

the sunset series...

Went out the other evening to take a few sunset photos.  Of course I couldn't find anyone to photograph so I decided to do the series with my Land Rover. The first four were taken on Fuji FP-100B.  This was the last four photos from my only pack of this type of film (which Fuji no longer makes).  The last two photos were taken on Polaroid 690 Color film.  The perfect film to use for the actual sunset.  I am always amazed at the rich colors that I still get from this expired film.  Luckily I have plenty of this stuff left...

sadi and strat...

we endured 4 hours of baseball in the sizzling texas heat today (showed 109 degrees F on the field at the TCU campus). had my modified polaroid 250 camera and my sx-70 camera.  wasn't about to try the PX70 cool film in this heat so I took this picture after the games on Polaroid 664 expired film...

the latest test...

Two more Impossible images that were taken using a modified 250 pack film camera. These two images were taken using a quick setup of studio lighting in front of a window curtain.  Figured out the process and the proper film orientation (mirror image that is upside down). Next up is a real studio set up with more lights and a seamless background...
