group shot - joshua tree...

One of my favorite polawalk group shots ever. Such a neat place to visit with such a neat group of people...

juli and will...

Finally getting around to scanning a few more from the Joshua Tree trip. This was my last shot of Polaroid Chocolate film. Juli and Will are always fun to photograph and this was definitely worthy of the last shot...

captain...

Jonna and Cap were in town for Pyper's birthday. Really neat being able to capture Cap on some expired Polaroid film...

a sense of belonging...

An afternoon in the Lavon lake bed (minus the water). The evening was approaching and the shutter was slow, but it's still an image with character. And it's my next to last shot of chocolate film. That being said, Tyler looks like he belongs in this scene and in this photo...

a little introspection...

Spent some time these past few days reflecting on life with very little social media. This included lots of time playing board games with family, spending time with Sherri, watching tv, reading photography books/magazines and rethinking how/why I use my cameras. Honestly, this has been something that I have needed for some time. A balanced life is something we all pursue. I seem to be in constant pursuit of this balance between work, family, spirituality, photography and now social media. Probably not something that I am going to solve anytime soon, but I feel that I have made some great progress...

split person (alities)...

An image that I took last winter, but never posted. Ran across it and decided that tonight is the night. I sometimes post photos to document that I get bored and end up driving around and taking pictures of myself and my Land Rover. The curse of photography, as a serious hobby, is that sometimes you just gotta create something/anything.

Not quite a diptych, but it is two pictures that have something in common...

complimentary...

Lots of images from the weekend in front of this mural. None seem to represent the blacks and pastels more than the expired Polaroid 669 film. I dread the day when I have no more. It is coming up sooner than later... Was glad to be able to shoot this image of Frank on this film. A bit repetitious, because his black and white 8x10 photo and Leica image were also taken in front of this mural. The lighting in this area of the alley was absolutely perfect. Made it hard to resist taking so many photos here. Looking at this image I think I have decided that Frank has the look for this film. He makes the film look good and the film definitely compliments him...

saturday mornings...

As much as I like traveling, I love Saturday mornings at home with my family (and my coffee makers). Pyper stayed with us last night so we went outside right after she got up to play some golf (Pyper calls it baseball) in the back yard. She looks a little rough, but it WAS before 9:00 am on a Saturday...

morning pods...

Noticed these flowers against the clouds on the side of the road on my way to work a few days ago. This is why I try to keep a camera in my car...

glamorous...

A candid moment with Pyper...

I will never capture enough of these types of moments to stop trying to catch more...

A Space Photo - Ted and Ann

Was able to take a few pictures during the opening of Tyler's and my Impossible Project gallery show at A Space in Commerce, Texas. What a great opening night! This is definitely one of my favorites taken with Polaroid 664 film. It is a photo of my friends Ted and Ann. More images coming as I get them scanned.

the color of cold...

Two images that were taken this morning when it was 21 degrees F and a 10-15 mph wind.  Found out quickly that I wasn't the only thing that didn't react well to the cold.  I also took two images with my Leica M8 and the colors are what I would consider more true to life. That being said, the images below at least are screaming that they are cold...

globehopper...

A mural outside the Globehopper coffee shop in downtown Richmond, Va.

Took the images using Impossible PX100 Cool film in a folding SX-70 and Polaroid 690 film in a 100 Packfilm camera.

sadi and ashlyn...

Still loving this film.  The green tones and red developer around the border just make the photo. Unfortunately this one had a small undeveloped patch.  This is still from the IDUV pack that came with a Polaroid 100 packfilm camera that I bought a few weeks ago.  Film that comes with old cameras never works!!!  I feel very lucky on this pack...
