A Space Photo - Ted and Ann

Was able to take a few pictures during the opening of Tyler's and my Impossible Project gallery show at A Space in Commerce, Texas. What a great opening night! This is definitely one of my favorites taken with Polaroid 664 film. It is a photo of my friends Ted and Ann. More images coming as I get them scanned.

my beautiful wife on film...

I absolutely love capturing images of Sherri!  It always surprises me how much she hates having her picture taken.  However, I would have to admit that it makes every one that I do take even more special to me...

Sadi in the studio...

Got the chance to take a couple of pictures of Sadi today. She had Tyler take some outdoor shots, so I set up a little bit of studio equipment to take a couple of Polaroid 664 shots with my modified 250 camera when she got home. What a beautiful girl! There is no other picture like an expired Polaroid...

maci on super-expired film...

This is a studio shot from some super-expired Polaroid 664 film. Had to increase the contrast and adjust the levels to get the image to come to life.  Amazing how sharp the image actually is...

at least it is sharp cheddar...

We laughed after taking this one. Looks like Maci and Tyler went to some party where they were taking cheesy pictures in front of a cityscape background.  Unfortunately, no party here.  Just another night at the Bradford house where we look for anything to photograph...

I took this one with the polaroid 100 land camera with expired polaroid 664 film and one of my few remaining flashbulbs.  I just had to post this one because the picture is so sharp. I am constantly amazed at the photographs that these cameras are still able to take.

in her own little world...

Experimented a little more today with the closeup lens on the polaroid 100 land camera.  If you have ever had your picture taken with an old polaroid flash on one of the packfilm cameras, you will understand why I took this closeup picture of Pyper with her looking away.  I was around 10 inches from her face. If she would have been looking directly at the flash, it would have been like looking at the sun. Maybe not the most flattering picture of Pyper. She was getting sleepy and about to go take her afternoon nap. Maybe she won't be too mad at me later in life for posting this...

L A NDROVER closeup...

got a new closeup and portrait lens today for my polaroid 100 land camera.  this photo of the front of my land rover was taken using the closeup lens.  wow, the depth of field is shallow when you use this lens during the evening.

what better way to celebrate Pola Day than using a Polaroid camera, expired Polaroid film and one of the many well-designed Polaroid accessories...

reflecting again...

Part of getting older is all of the reflecting that you do. Add to that an addiction to coffee (and taking pictures) and this is the result.  This is sooooo representative of me today...

The photo started as an expired Polaroid 664 print taken with my Polaroid 250.  It was getting late in the day so the lighting/contrast is not as good as I would like it, but it seems to work with the mood of the photo.  Since it wasn't dry yet (and I am very impatient today), I couldn't scan it so I took an iPhone photo and modified it using Snapseed.  I love how you can create things so easily...

Sunday Favorites...

Spent some time after church today taking some instant photos of Sadi, Maci and Tyler.  Experimented with all types of instant film and lighting.  Here are two of my favorites from the day...

sadi and maci..

Not perfect pictures, but great memories of my beautiful girls. Two of my most favorite people to photograph!

sadi...

maci...

sadi and strat...

we endured 4 hours of baseball in the sizzling texas heat today (showed 109 degrees F on the field at the TCU campus). had my modified polaroid 250 camera and my sx-70 camera.  wasn't about to try the PX70 cool film in this heat so I took this picture after the games on Polaroid 664 expired film...

neighborhood kids - waterfight

love capturing some playful moments around the neighborhood.  my goal is to catch more like this...

undeveloped prom pics - photoset

with expired polaroid, you sometimes get undeveloped areas because the developer has dried up on that portion of the picture.  this Polaroid 664 film has been expired since 2005 and it definitely has it's flaws.  funny thing happened though.  on Jace's picture the right side didn't develop.  on Sadi's picture the left side didn't develop.  i cut the pictures in half and scanned them together for this photoset image...
