Allister's first Big Shot image. She didn't even see it coming. Eventually, she will associate the super-bright flash of light with the famed camera...
started documenting things around me with a film that almost became a part of the past...

a composite (of) Toby...
Took a few random images of Toby (using Fuji FP-100C & FP-3000B film) in downtown McKinney with the intention of creating a composite from diferent perspectives. Aligning the images yields a full-body composite that might be considered questionably taller and a bit more slender...
don't move...
Took this one of Pyper with my Toyo 4x5 camera and a Fujinon 210mm lens using a Polaroid back with Fuji FP-100C film. The depth of field with shallow and the focus was on her one eye. To be honest, I can't believe that she stayed still long enough for this one to be taken. Such a neat thing to be able to spend time with her taking pictures...
shades...
Two photos of Tyler near dusk when we were leaving Pyper's gymnastics. Low light, large aperture. Trying to test out a couple of photos every night with my Polaroid 180. If I'm going to test it, portraits will always be my favorite...
shawn roller...
Shawn is another one of "those people" that I met on Twitter and ending up meeting in real life. I messaged him last Friday night and ended up meeting downtown McKinney for some coffee, coversation and a portrait. The coffee at Spoons Garage was excellent, the conversation was definitely the highlight of the morning and we ended the time with a few portraits. I slightly overexposed the 8x10 and evidently somehow produced a light leak. My guess is that I didn't compensate for the film being so cold. I think that I redeemed myself with the Fuji FP-100C portrait taken with my latest acquisition (a Polaroid 180 Land Camera). Will have to give the 8x10 another try to show Shawn what the Impossible 8x10 film can really do...
maci and pyper...
Spent the afternoon with these two. What a great Saturday afternoon! Started it off with a quick photo...
group shot - joshua tree...
One of my favorite polawalk group shots ever. Such a neat place to visit with such a neat group of people...
catastrophy averted...
Captured this image today with my Polaroid Big Shot camera. I started having trouble with the developer spreaders a few weeks back and this image was the last one that I was able to pull through them before they completely broke apart. As you can see, it tore the edges of the film and the developer only spread on part of the image. Film is so unique in that an otherwise ruined image can be salvaged. In addition to saving the image, I fixed and improved my Big Shot camera. I had a Polaroid back for a Hasselblad camera that I bought at a garage sale for $5. The roller assembly snapped right in the slot where the spreader bar assembly was on the Big Shot. Until I get a Hasselblad camera, this works great...

white star laundry...
Part of a project where I am taking instant photos of different signs around Greenville, Texas. The colors from the Fuji FP-100C always seem to wow me...
little miss Pyper...
Really don't like to get stuck posting any one subject or the same film too much, but lately Pyper has been all that I have photographed. Evidently, she is the most willing subject for me. :)
Happened to have my camera with me after church today. Stepped out of the parking lot and into a cluster of trees to get this quick one of Pyper. Man, the Polaroid 600se lens sure does render a great image & background...
Texan Theater at Night...
Night photography (as inspired by Toby Hancock)...
What a difference in film. The first is expired Polaroid 690 film (reddish/hazy finish), the second is Fuji FP-100C film (sharp and vibrant colors). Both have a unique signature that makes each special.
Finally had another night where they lit the lights on the Texan Theater in Greenville. Made a special trip back home to grab some Polaroid cameras and get back downtown. Here are the first two images from tonight. All images were taken with the camera on a tripod. I have some other images that are still processing. Will try and post them soon.
in the studio...
Spent a little time in the studio (ok, it was really just my garage) tonight working on lighting. Took several images on expired Polaroid 664 that seemed quite a bit washed out and I just couldn't get the exposure right. Then I put in some Fuji FP-100C and everything changed. I go for months without shooting this stuff because it seems so boring, but occasionally I get great stuff and I want to shoot it more...
double take...
When boredom sets in, I can always depend on my Land Rover for a good double exposure. Two types of film, a short drive from home and four shots later this is what appears. If you look hard enough, you will see the mysterious mrs. bradford stepping into my second double exposure...
lunch with Pyper...
Came home for lunch today and found that we had a visitor. Couldn't resist getting the camera out to take a few shots of her playing in the back yard.

Pyper's many necklaces...
Pyper wanted to see how many necklaces she could get around her neck and how many pretzels she could get in her mouth. Thought it was the perfect opportunity to grab a picture. Pyper didn't seem to think so...
