Pyper was sick tonight. Running a fever of 102 degrees. After the Tylenol took effect, she was all smiles. I captured this one on my Spectra camera with the closeup lens. I am not sure that I should be getting this close to a sick kid...

Matt...
Met Matt at Oak Lawn Coffee last week. I already posted an instagram photo of this Polaroid, but since the photo turned out so good, I wanted to get the scan on my blog. I was with Sadi so I normally wouldn't ask people to take their photograph because I am more comfortable asking that question when I am alone. You just never know when you are going to get a yes or no and I can't survive the constant reenactment at home if I get a no. Matt and I had already talked about my Leica and I showed him my Polaroid cameras, so I felt like I was pretty safe in asking. Definitely glad I stepped out and followed my instinct. I took two photos so that I could leave one copy with him...

a night with Pyper...
Pyper stayed with us last night. Always a fun time! She is constantly doing something entertaining. You just have to be quick with the camera to catch the moment. She put on the glasses and was walking around laughing (and going "round and round"). The light leak is because I moved the film from one camera to another and didn't get the dark slide in all the way. I used the Spectra closeup lens to get a head shot.
As you can tell, by the time I took the second one she was getting "sweepy"...

Experimented a little more today with the closeup lens on the polaroid 100 land camera. If you have ever had your picture taken with an old polaroid flash on one of the packfilm cameras, you will understand why I took this closeup picture of Pyper with her looking away. I was around 10 inches from her face. If she would have been looking directly at the flash, it would have been like looking at the sun. Maybe not the most flattering picture of Pyper. She was getting sleepy and about to go take her afternoon nap. Maybe she won't be too mad at me later in life for posting this...
